Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

Authenticate all wired and wireless users. Addresses Security concerns on devices/users accessing the network. Cisco Identity Services Engine is used before a user is allowed access to the network.

  • Profiling devices
  • Providing device access based on identity
  • Securing access
  • Providing security for device access (TACACs)

Cons

  • If a user already authenticates successfully and you connect a hub and piggyback from the authenticated user, the other device will also be given the same access the authenticated user has
  • Reporting. Include more in live logs
  • Include hot patch application in the GUI
  • Access to license usage history
  • Secure Network
