Cisco Identity Services Engine Review
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Cisco Identity Services Engine is used for AAA in our business, especially for WiFi, wired, VPN and CLI access via 802.1x with user credentials and certificates. It addresses the need to secure all of the access to our networks.
Pros
- Policy-based access
- Securing all of the access options
- Gives a deep look into traffic
- Ensures compliance across connected devices
Cons
- Upgrading the cluster gave us issues multiple times
- The integration with ACI still needs to be improved
- POS: giving my admins insight and easy to use control for access
- Slightly neg: licensing is a bit expensive
none in production
