It is being used primarily within the Contact center agents group as a soft phone client. It resolve[s] the issue of compatibility for the Cisco IP Communicator on the Mac OS.
- Soft phone capability.
- Presence status.
- Chat to Webex escalation.
- 3rd party app integration.
- The phone dialer pad.
- Messaging and chat search and archiving.
- Allowed soft phone access from mobile devices on both android and iPhone, where it was not possible before.
- Video calling feature and integration with Webex.
Jabber provide[s] similar capability for chat and messaging, but excel[s] on the soft phone features.
