Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MX

We use it for what we call a unification task force. We put them in a container with switches and gateways and we connect back to our headquarters. So when we have events like school shootings and stuff like that, we create a network in that spot. And we use the MX to talk back to VPN and then to connect the equipment to us. And the APs too with Meraki. I invented that. Thank you.

Pros

  • Well, they do a great connection back to our database, our data center, the VPN connection, they do that, really good with the cloud. I can do that from anywhere. I don't have to be on site if I have to do any configurations, that's a great thing right there. I don't have to be traveling to get to the patient and get to fix something. So the mobility is great and the cloud works great for us.

Cons

  • Everything's been working fine. I would say more expansion on APs, but other than that, everything that we have right now looks great.
  • Nothing negative. Everything has been, we're using it for other, we're creating other situations with the same equipment. We're buying more equipment to create other remote situations with it. So we're going to have multiple MX all over the place. When it comes to remote mobility.
One thing that when we have to get on site, we unpack the equipment, all we do is connect one cable and everything comes up and it connects back to the cloud and back to the data center. It's just great. I don't have to do it anyway. They can hook it up. And you're online.
Everything's been Meraki. We haven't done any other connections with it.
Everywhere we connect it, it works. There's no too much configuration. Plug it in, everything works great.
We have used just regular switches with regular firewalls, third party firewalls kind of do the same thing. But the problem with that is that there's a lot of configuration to be done if IP addresses changes. But with the Meraki, I don't have that problem because it's all in the cloud and everything connects

Yes

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MX live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MX go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MX again?

Yes

Like I said, we go to the remote sites where there's no connection, so we hook up the MX to our internet gateway that has Starlink internet dishes and they just work great. We can connect back to our data center and our APs work great. We can transfer data secure. And so that's the great part of that.
