Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Events
We host webinars and other events that allow external users to connect to the event. Cisco Webex Events is used by my business unit. Without having to require network access to our internal network, we can easily engage with external partners and customers. We can share multimedia content with our users and we can better engage with them during these virtual events via the live chat feature.
- Webinar hosting
- High bandwidth
- Sound quality
- Live Q&A
- Increase the participant limit above 1,000
- Allowed us to keep our product development moving forward during the pandemic.
- Reduced our travel costs by hosting virtual events.
- Allows us to host more events because of reduced cost over in-person events.
- Helps us with faster time to market on features as we can quickly set up and host a focus group.
We had to use something hosted externally and the Cisco Webex Events product just had the best host of features. Polling and online Q&A were important features. And the multimedia which of course Skype has. But we've had bandwidth problems in the past with Skype and it's probably more a factor of the internal network, not the product itself. Webex we don't get those robotic voices like we sometimes do on Skype. But again - I suspect that is network, not tool limitations.
The one limitation I see, and we get this with conference calls, and other forms of virtual collaboration tools [are] the participant limitation. Rarely do we need to go over 1,000 participants, but sometimes when we just want to disseminate information to multiple teams, the limitation is hard. We might have a live in-person event that we want to simulcast as a webinar and we will accept Q&A from the live event only. So it's important that we can have over 1,000 people.
