Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

Webex is used by the entire employee population in our organization. Presently it is for audio/visual meetings & given that we are all remote at the moment, that is the go-to application used by everyone for meetings in general. The usage obviously increased dramatically as soon as the pandemic hit and now it is business as usual for everyone to be on Webex meetings every day.
  • Ability to chose one of the various audio options.
  • Various sharing capabilities allowing attendees to select what they want to share.
  • Breakout rooms were recently added and is an added benefit.
  • Seamless connectivity to on-prem devices.
  • Too slow in catching up with Zoom.
  • The desktop app is not on par with other collaboration apps.
  • The biggest positive was that we were ready to work remotely with Webex.
  • The biggest negative was the desktop app running on Windows systems.
  • Mobile app was the savior wherever desktop apps were tough to use.
To sum it up, the ease of use is the best with Zoom. Then comes Webex. Followed by Microsoft Teams. Zoom uses a minimal amount of system resources as compared to Webex and Microsoft Teams uses more than Webex or in some cases same as Webex. Webex needs to bridge the gap between itself and Zoom.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

No

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

No

Fortunately, there hasn't been a major outage with the Webex service itself. The desktop app on Windows has been the only bottleneck when it takes some amount of time for a meeting to start using the desktop app on Windows systems. Outside of that, whether it is a mobile device or a non-Windows OS, the experience is totally seamless. Seems like the desktop app is more "Non-Windows OS" friendly.
It is much easier for non-Windows-based systems like iOS.
Again, the issue is Webex's performance on Windows systems vs non-Windows systems. Webex works like a charm when used with iOS devices or a browser that is not Internet Explorer.
To be honest, the ease of use is the biggest factor. We understand Webex as a portfolio has many different sub-products under the larger umbrella. Hopefully, the WebexOne app will be somewhere close to the ease with which one can use Zoom as a basic audio/video meeting application. That's the most basic point that Cisco needs to fix with Webex.
