Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud
We use it specifically within the PR team as a way to identify the best editors to pitch for our clients.
- Their database is vast and extensive.
- They have a variety of news outlets and blogs.
- They don't keep the database updated as often as they could.
- Their customer service is pretty terrible.
- Negative is that their reach numbers, or what they call UMVs are most often incorrect when compared to Trendkite.
- Negative is that they are unable to tell us how they get to the UMV numbers but they can tell us that they don't use the unique monthly visitors to that website-so then why do they call it UMVs?
- Positive is that sometimes when we quickly need to find editor information, we're able to do so.
- Negative is that probably 3 out of 5 times that I'm searching for a new contact on Cision, they do not have them in their database and they take 7 days to get back to me. So when the pitch needs to go out urgently and Cision takes 7 days, it negatively impacts our relationship with the client and they question our ability to do our jobs.
Muck Rack. I would switch in a second if we were in a financial situation where we could do so. We stayed with Cision because we are grandfathered into a good rate and are having a difficult time discovering a solution for switching.
