Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare
As a website designer I usually do the hosting on my own VPS for my customers. One of the things that is very important today are having CDN's. Cloudflare is one of the only free CDN's that I know of and they have so many options and features on their free plan that I use this for every customer that I put on my hosting. I can use their caching and some of their speed options as well as just the standard cdn. They also make it easy to make changes in the DNS. You can even see how fast your page loads and it is extremely easy to setup as long as you have access to the registrar.
- Flexible SSL
- Mainly just the customer service they never really respond though I understand I am using the free version
- Sometimes I have to go in and clear the cache as my site is not showing the changes though that is quite rare.
- It has allowed me to do speed tests on sites without getting the notice that there is no CDN
- It allows me to change dns entries easily and quickly
I have only used Cloudflare as it was really the only free one I found and it has been all I have ever needed. There may be some very specific scenarios where I may need to pay for other features or use a different CDN but I have not found that yet.
