Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
It is being used across the whole company to enable remote login for staff and IT support. It makes life easy to connect to any PC within a selected group or as a whole. It is easy to set up individual users and allow or restrict access as necessary, it is also easy to manage and edit groups as necessary.
- Easy to use software to access remote PCs. I can log onto any PC, but I also have a restricted group that only I can see and connect to.
- Moving files or drag and drop works very well, blanking the host screen and the ability to lock any keyboard and mosue activity works very well.
- Not to suit everyone but I also have my children connected so should they require any assistance at any time, myself or our IT can help them out.
- The tool bar at the top of the screen could benefit from being a bit easier to manage, you tend to keep going onto sections you do not need.
- Give the option for the toolbar to be present on the screen.
- Maybe have a favourites that once you set up parameters it remembers. i.e. I have dual screens and the constant flicking between them can be annoying, a simpler method of access each screen would be good.
- I cannot think of using it on a smaller device, mobile or tablet. The software does not lend itself to a smaller interface.
- One positive impact is the ease of connection for users to work/access their office PC remotely.
- The ease of access for our IT support to access any machine that is set up and give support. It saves time and money rather than wait for someone to turn up.
We had no particular issue with LogMeIn until their price structure became ridiculous, as like so many companies these days the support then changes to a "so what" attitude. ConnectWise does the same job, some bits better some bits not so good. The price structure for us though works very well. A sensible price for a sensible product.
