Overall Satisfaction with ConvertKit

We use ConvertKit in several ways for our veterinary clinic. First, we use it to send automated emails to our won leads so they know what to expect ahead of an appointment - this is linked to our CRM platform and how we code the lead as 'won". Next, we put our 'lost' leads on an email marketing campaign to try to win them over by showcasing everything we have to offer. And finally, we use ConvertKit to send blast emails to all of our subscribers whenever we have a big announcement to make.

Pros

  • Automated email campaigns
  • Managing subscribers
  • Email blasts
  • Managing contract though tags

Cons

  • I think the dashboard could benefit form allowing more customization
  • The way you format email templates is pretty limited
  • The saved footer options seems glitchy. I can never get it to work right.
  • Greatly limits the number of client questions we receive
  • Improves our customer service
  • Tracks the number of leads we get over a period of time
I tried several email marketing platforms before ConvertKit and none of them checked all the boxes for what I needed. ConvertKit had a simpler (less robust) interface than the others, but it ultimately did everything I needed it to. So I'd recommend it to anyone who just needs a simple email marketing platform and not looking for anything fancy.
I've tried other email marketing platforms, but they were either too complicated or more expensive than ConvertKit. The way that ConvertKit linked with my CRM and Zapier allowed me to use it for what I needed. The other options would probably work as well, but ConvertKit met all of my needs.

Do you think ConvertKit delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ConvertKit's feature set?

Yes

Did ConvertKit live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ConvertKit go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ConvertKit again?

Yes

ConvertKit is great for sending emails and reporting on click through rates. It's not really designed to manage contacts or acting as a CRM, so you will probably need another system outside of ConvertKit that links to it. Also, since all the contacts in ConvertKit are subscribers, all of them have the option to opt out of emails. So if you are looking to send mass emails that aren't necessarily marking emails, you'll need to do that outside of ConvertKit.
