Overall Satisfaction with Customer.io

We used Customer.io to send marketing and lifecycle emails and push messages to all of our companies leads and members with updates on their journey with us. We used a mix of emails and push messages and in-apps since we have both an app and a mobile app. We were very happy with the tool. The only caveat was the pricing model that bills for all users in the account regardless of if they logged in recently or not...

Pros

  • Flows that combine both emails and push notification
  • Very easy to build new flows
  • Conversion tracking is also very easy to set up and the results are trustable

Cons

  • Too pricy if you're a company with a lot of contacts
  • Ideally I'd want to see an analytics section with some overall stats
  • Got leads that abandoned their cart to convert
  • Drove more engagement and logins from unengaged users
  • Drove more upgrades from free users
It's really easy to manage, set up flows and campaigns, and track performance. I really liked the UI/UX. It's very simple and intuitive. I really don't have anything bad to say about it.
Klaviyo doesn't have all the integrated options that Customer.io has. Braze has all the same features, but have a different pricing model (pay only for users that logged in and not for everything in the account), so depending on the company's needs it might be more suitable.

Customer.io is really well suited to companies that have a mix of users that have their app and ones that don't. It can easily segment users that have the app and send them push messages and emails to the users that don't have the app. In my opinion, this is really their biggest pro. You can also combine text messages and in-app notifications.

Customer.io Support

My experience with their support team has always been great. Very quick to respond, have an online chat, and are very helpful. They helped me resolve any issues I've had every time in a professional and knowledgeable manner. We've now switched to another tool, and I can't even compare the service level we get there to customer.io!

As a company that spent a lot of money on customer.io, I think we got the Premium support as a default.
Yes - It was ALWAYS resolved quickly and professionally. I have nothing bad to say whatsoever.
