Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager

Each of our users use Dashlane Password Manager to save and share corporate and personal work passwords. This way we know passwords are securely kept and shared between users and systems. This is not only required by current security audits but also the best way to keep passwords secure and available in one clean repository that everyone can get to if needed.

Pros

  • Securely stores passwords
  • Securely shares passwords
  • Easy to manage and login with SSO login
  • Easy to transfer passwords if a user leaves

Cons

  • Initial setup was a little difficult.
  • User SSO invite and sign on would not work at first but this seems to have been improved/fixed.
  • The extension on websites doesn't work sometimes and will need to be refreshed if you open a new tab but have already logged in before.
  • Streamlines sharing credentials increasing business security and productivity.
  • Easily transfer saved passwords when a user leaves. Less IT cost in the transfer and more accurate.
  • Easily share between users securely saving time on unsecured email or chat shares. Security posture checks security audit boxes.
  • Spending less time managing and writing down passwords
SSO login is easy for users. Sometimes the web site won't auto-populate the credentials or other times the credentials will pop up and get in the way of a login box when you don't want it there. There should be an offset box where you can close or open auto-populate or it should be easier in that regard somehow.
We don't use other password managers at this time.

If you are in a corporate environment that utilizes some sort of SSO identity management and have the patience to set that up this will work great. They have gone through major improvements in the last few years with their SSO functionality and it seems to be working great now.
Also, if you need to securely store or share passwords this is very easy to work with and manage.
