Overall Satisfaction with Domo

We use Domo to track and aggregate customer usage information as well as sales/renewal targets. We currently use it only in one department. The largest problem it solves is getting all of our Salesforce data into one place where it is easy to understand.

Domo is great as a user. It's simple, and the drill downs are phenomenal. The only annoying thing is if you hit back in your web browser it pulls you back to the overall top of dashboard, rather than the previous drill down.

As a developer it take a little more skill and learning than other BI systems. It's not a quick learn, but once you learn it you can make it sing.
The Domo team helped us get implemented. After implementation whenever we had support questions they were great about teaching us how to do what we wanted.

Rather than just do things for us they were willing to spend time with a developer so we would have the skills we need to be successful. Great support.
We use Domo as a way for individuals to access their performance. It's been great having Domo data governance. We are able to create hierarchies and roll-up reports. Because of the strong governance policies, we can do performance management and ratings calibration all based on Domo reports.
Similar to what I mentioned about data governance - Domo allows us to import any data we want and keep it secure. We started with renewal rates and customer data. Once we understood functionality we quickly moved to using Domo to hold customer data as well as performance data for our reps. We can view both of these in a consolidated report when making personnel decisions (ratings, performance plans).
Domo has much more flexibility than Tableau. Tableau is great if you want a surface-level report and to statically display information. Domo is better for data aggregation and allowing drill-downs.
Domo has amazing functionality and can tie in information from just about any system. It's not quite as intuitive as Tableau, and the visualizations aren't as beautiful, but the back end data manipulation is leaps and bounds better. You'll want to dedicate a single resource (person) to learning and developing on the system. Generally going to want someone with a developer background, rather than someone with only analytics background
