Overall Satisfaction with DonorPerfect

I use DonorPerfect in my department only (Development) for donor management, reporting, direct mailings, etc. It is used for fundraising and some marketing needs, with a focus on our private donors. We use it to track donations, collect donor information, pull listings, etc.

  • My main focus is working with private donors, foundations, corporations, etc. DP has been very effective for me in this area and has a positive impact.
  • DP has had a positive impact with regard to my general reporting needs - mainly monthly and annually.
  • Creating a new report has been cumbersome at times. I need more practice since most of my reporting needs are repetitive.
I have only ever used DonorPerfect, but I have looked into two or three other options over time. I apologize that I cannot recall all their names at this time. What I found was that even though they typically brought more to the table at that time, the cost jump was huge and I couldn't justify the ROI to myself. But DonorPerfect has continued to add to what they offer and I was glad I never changed platforms.
DonorPerfect is an effective donor management platform. It is well suited to our current organizational needs. I realize that there are other platforms that offer more options, but in my research and conversations with these companies, I was never able to see the added value for the usually huge jump in cost. For me, as a one woman shop, it is quite effective for my needs.
