Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Sharing of all projects' contents within the organization for all projects. Some folders are only shared with certain employees of the region, as only relevant files are required for employees to work off of. Having access to updates one employee made to the project folder for another employee is critical in staying updated with the project between the members.

Pros

  • updating files right away, as long as we have access to internet
  • making sure there's a conflicted copy if there are more than 2 people using the same file simultaneously
  • syncing quickly when online

Cons

  • online only function sometimes takes forever to actually "sync"
  • search bar can be faster
  • more obvious symbol to differentiate between online only and local
  • Ability to access to files with the most recent changes colleagues made is crucial
  • Having vast amount of storage space to access file from without slowing down is absolutely critical
  • Being able to retrieve any mistakes made on changes / deletion to the file is amazing
Asana does not let you store vast amount of files in one place. I am not aware of any other softwares similar to Dropbox that I've used before, so it's difficult to compare with any direct competitors to Dropbox. Icloud or One Drive may be the direct competitor, which I have not used before. I believe Dropbox is the top dog of cloud service.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Dropbox works well for a relatively simpler projects where just 1 person is working on the project most of the time, rather than multiple users being involved in the project simultaneously.

If there are instances where a user has to open a file for an extended period of time at a time, that would not be ideal for another person to work on that project, as it could create a conflicted copy.
