Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I started using Dropbox in 2013 as private account/space and loved it. When compared to Google Drive I found Dropbox more reliable, easy to use and less frequently ig fails to sync when computer needs an update. Since 2018 I am using Dropbox provided by my Institution and I love it has almost unlimited space. We record large amounts of electrophysiological data that get synced to other computers with 100% reliability which is crucial. I cannot imagine to be without Dropbox anymore.

Pros

  • Electrophysiological recordings on different platforms

Cons

  • Easier switching between private and company owned Dropbox accounts
  • Overall speed of communication and data sharing much improved since Dropbox
