Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use DB to organize all of our design files from the client, and internally to distribute assets through our fabrication process in the production department into fullfilment with the installation department.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Keeps version history details clean as we work through multiple proofing stages
Allows seamless teamwork on large projects with our multi-state team
Files are accessible from any part of our company platform on personal and company-owned devices. Especially critical while on a job site when it is crucial we are using current versions of designs

Cons

Best on laptop, desktop PC - Same issues of using on a phone or tablet as competitors. Definitely a leader in the space as mobile is constantly improving from the user perspective

Return on Investment

We haven't really tracked any KPIs for our DB usage. DB is an integral part of our project's success.

Alternatives Considered

Procore and Box

Best we can find currently, no reason to look at competitor solutions.

Likelihood to Recommend

Maybe added features with AI recognition and sorting into project folders when we are in the field. But honestly we don't have many complaints internally when using DB.
