Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox to save and organize our content and design files. I personally sync work folders and files to my computer which makes it easier for me to access files and make edits to them. We also use it to share files with each other and our clients and contractors.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Saving files in a place that all employees and contractors can access them
Allowing all team members to be able to edit files
The ability to see the history of who made what edits to a file
The ability to restore a file to a previous version

Cons

Sometimes it takes awhile for my files to sync to files that are online
It is easy to mix up sharing a file and requesting a file.
I would like it to be easier to selective sync. It is not easy to find in settings.

Return on Investment

It allows us to share files and folders with clients.
The links we send to a client always work well.
We can also share folders with clients and continue to add or edit files within the folder.

Likelihood to Recommend

Dropbox is easy to use when sharing files with a client or contractor. I'm able to send the person I'm sharing with a link and it is very rare that a user has an issue with the link. It is more difficult when I need a user to upload a file. I find that send a request for a file isn't as easy as just sharing one.
