Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox provides a reliable meeting ground between our small team and the creatives that we work with on a regular basis to edit photography and video content for us. We're able to cleanly create folders and subfolders for specific content we need edited, and then provide access to the editors, all while having full visibility of the progress of these projects over time.
Pros
- Provides clear sorting of different folders and types of media.
- Makes searching within folders for specific content simple.
- Provides plenty of control over who and what can be seen and/or edited.
Cons
- Better methods for communicating on or in certain subgroups of content. (I.e. a message board that's assigned to a certain folder and its sub-groups.
- The content editing process that once took a month or more between checking and clarifying things over email, has been made much more streamlined. We've generally cut down the time to complete projects by 50% or more.
