Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox for Storage and sharing of project files. the application allows easy access to files across devices and easy sharing with multiple clients and team members. The ability to receive large files from collaborators and consultants is useful. We are able to share the most current version of files and information using the web link to a file or folder.

Pros

  • Store files for easy access
  • share files and folders with clients and consultants
  • Receive and share large files
  • Share comments in real time for shared documents

Cons

  • A better connection to google email would be a welcome enhancement
  • Improve interface for Dropbox paper
  • Better support for graphic formats
  • Emulation of a server for application that require server connection to collaborate
  • Flexible storage solution for the cost
  • Economical method of sharing files
  • Cost effective method for sharing files
Dropbox has been very easy to implement with collaborators and clients. The web interface is easy for new users to navigate. The ability to share files with a weblink is extremely useful. because the weblinks work on mobile devices it is very easy to share and collaborate with multiple users and not have to be concerned about what device they will be using.
Dropbox is the preferred method of file sharing with collaborators who are not in the Google ecosystem. it is a much more universal means to share files between Apple MAC, IOS, Android, and Windows users. the mobile applications and the web interface make sharing and collaborating on files and folders an easy and convenient way to work.

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Dropbox is best suited for sharing files instead of email. It allows access to the latest version of a file. It is also great for sharing file with a mobile device.
Dropbox is not suitable when collaborators have a high level of network security in place. Specifically controls on downloading files from a link embedded in an e-email.
