Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Automatic backup, having files backed up right away so I can send a link to the recipients, having access to my files on any device anywhere, and peace of mind knowing there is a second copy of my important files.
I am a solo business owner, so Dropbox is like an assistant to me.

Pros

  • Ability to send links for people to view and download the files
  • Backs up very quickly
  • Mobile interface works really well.
  • Scan document feature is super useful.

Cons

  • The mobile Dropbox app always seems to take up a lot of space on my phone. I have to occasionally delete the iphone app and reinstall it to gain more space on my phone
  • The backup feature doesn't let me share files. I have to move a copy of the file to the Dropbox folder on my Mac in order to share a file link
  • Ease of sharing content
  • Knowing my content is backed up automatically
  • Helps me be more organized.
Besides some finicky things, it works very well and easy to use. Once you learn that it's better to share a link to the Dropbox file instead of inviting someone to the file (meaning they have to have Dropbox storage available) it works super smoothly!
Google Drive keeps making the product worse, but Dropbox either keeps it the same or makes the experience slightly better. Service works faster and easier to navigate and easy to organize your files.

I think it works much better than Google Drive. Ease of use to send links to Dropbox files and therefore the recipient doesn't have to even have a Dropbox account. In my opinion, it just needs some work on the iPhone app not taking up a bunch of space and a way to share links to files from the Backup. But it gives me confidence knowing my important files are automatically backed up to the cloud, and it works well to access them on different devices.
