Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dropbox is my primary source for all critical information, allowing it to be accessed from various workstations. The price per GB is better than Google Drive, which is why Dropbox has replaced Google Drive as our primary source of information.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy workstation access.
Easy mobile access.
Easy backup capabilities.

Cons

Previewing files is not seamless.
Can't download from dropbox to some applications.
Moving files is cumbersome.

Return on Investment

Dropbox is more cost effective than Google Drive (saved us ~$300/yr).
DB has reduced frustration in terms of having access to needed files.
Some frustration with search capabilities.

Usability

I am happy with Dropbox. We have used Google Drive and Amazon S3 for storage. We discontinued using Google Drive as our primary resource center due to its high price and limited support. We still use Amazon S3 for large video files and audio files, which are primarily archived. (Its interface is challenging but very affordable.)

DB is great for storage and access from different laptops and mobile phones. DB is not great for photo access for editing or reviewing images.
