Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We used Dropbox to house all of our files for our business. We had multiple users working remotely and shared files.

Pros

  • Keeps documents secure
  • Allows one point of reference
  • Integrates with other services well

Cons

  • When two users are working on a document sometimes it has a conflict
  • It is very expensive
  • The files are owned by individuals rather than the company, so if someone leaves it's confusing
  • Dropbox was significantly more expensive than other options such as microsoft 365.
It works well from a basic level but lacks enough structure for a business to compare with OneDrive and Sharepoint, which is where we've moved to.
We have moved to OneDrive as it is more integrated, where Dropbox is better for individuals.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

No

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Dropbox again?

No

Dropbox would be great for storing big files like photos or video.
For a business we needed something more robust where files can be shared more easily.
