Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox Business

We use Dropbox Business throughout our organization. We build templated apps for third-party clients and the work that we do requires the creation and storage of a high volume of creative assets. Dropbox Business gives us a central storage location that our whole team can easily access. Everyone has visibility into our Dropbox and no one has to keep large design files on their local drives.
  • Ease of use - Dropbox provides a simple interface that most team members and clients are already familiar with.
  • The ability to have Dropbox folders accessible from Finder makes it seem like your cloud storage is local but you don’t take up space on your hard drive.
  • Dropbox makes it easy to share files with anyone.
  • Initial setup of the Dropbox app has been tricky for some of our less tech-savvy team members.
  • It’d be great to have the ability to create a custom link for assets/folders instead of just having the randomly generated url.
  • Link sharing
  • Shared storage
  • The ability to create complex folder structures
  • Dropbox Business has increased our efficiency greatly. Having a central location that the whole team can access for any file saves a lot of back/forth.
Dropbox Business is basically an industry standard for file storage at this point and most clients and team members will be familiar with it. Sharefile’s main advantage is its security. It provides more security options than Dropbox. The only downside that our team saw with Sharefile was that our clients were not familiar with the platform so we had to spend more time walking them through how to access files.

Do you think Dropbox Business delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox Business's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox Business live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dropbox Business go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox Business again?

Yes

Dropbox Business provides a simple and cost-effective way to store and share files. It’s especially helpful for teams who create larger files (raw design files for example) and for teams who often need to share large files with people outside the organization. It also saves a lot of time since multiple people can have access to the same folders. I don’t even have to send my team a link to an asset; I can just tell them it’s in Dropbox and they know where to find it.

I think most teams would find this tool to be valuable. The only scenario I can think of where it is less appropriate is for teams who just don’t have many files to store.
