Overall Satisfaction with Druva inSync

It is being used by the staff in our main support offices as well as on manager's computers across the organizations to back up hard drives.
  • Restore files when a hard drive has been wiped or a computer has been stolen.
  • Backups files regularly.
  • Makes it easier to move files from one computer to another.
  • Navigation to a particular date or particular files can be difficult at times.
  • Make sure files are recoverable in an emergency.
Druva provides alerts if a system is misconfigured, non-compliant, etc. If we have a user who Outlook or another application is misconfigured, IT and the user are alerted.
Currently, we do not user Druva to assist us with centralized data governance.
It was pretty simple and straightforward.

COVID-19 Changes

Druva inSync continues to serve as our backup tool for many of our laptops even as users work on them remotely. This gives IT and our end users assurance that no data will be lost if anything should have remotely to cause damage or loss of their hard drives.
  • Provides ransomware protection for all endpoints that we have Druva inSync installed on
  • Automated monitoring for unusual data activity triggers immediate notifications in the event of a ransomware attack on one or more machines
  • Restore all, or individual, uninfected files, to return machines and servers to any point in time prior to the ransomware attack
As of now, we have not needed to use Druva inSync for employee turnover challenges during COVID-19. However, if we did, we would most likely have a case where we would need to pull data from a backup after wiping a machine. If so, we would have no issue as we mark Druva accounts as Preserved at least for a year after a person leaves the organization.

We had a case where a user's Druva tool kept giving an error even after un-installing and re-installing the client. The support person checked in multiple times to work to set a time to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and he was able to resolve the issue on the first try after setting up and conducting a remote session with the user.
Great and timely customer service and support.
