Overall Satisfaction with Druva inSync

We are currently using Druva to backup our GSuite data.

Pros

  • Clean, intuitive interface
  • Quick sync times
  • Accessible, helpful tech support

Cons

  • Some backups get stalled or throttled and the user needs to be deleted and recreated to get a good backup. Luckily, sync times are good, so it is not really much of an issue.
  • I expect Druva will save us money or be a net-zero, as we will be able to remove GSuite users earlier than in the past.
  • Adding to the depth of our DR infrastructure positively affects our security posture.
Any of the other products I may have looked at had a much higher entry cost, so we did not even try a demo. Druva's cost was one that I thought we might be able to justify, and they were willing to give us a generous demo period for an extensive evaluation.
Implementation was so easy I don't even recall it! The only issues we have had were some user accounts that had issues with syncs not finishing. It turned out that it was due to the specific configuration of an organizational group to which those users belonged. Tech Support was great. The fix straightforward. The resolution was quick.

Druva InSync adds depth to our DR infrastructure by protecting our GSuite data. It also streamlines our GSuite environment by allowing us to remove stale users from GSuite while keeping the data available for the remainder of our retention period.
