Overall Satisfaction with eClinicalWorks

eClinicalWorks is used in the hospital clinics as the EMR. It is used for patient documentation and for overall population health.
  • They do have good software.
  • Providers like the ease of use.
  • The documentation can be adapted to the practice.
  • Customer service is not good.
  • The product is expensive.
  • Telemedicine software needs improvement.
  • I think it has had positive impact as far as capturing procedures and visits.
  • I do not think it is value based.
  • I think the costs are excessive.
I think eClinicalWorks and Evident are similar. eClinicalWorks has the better software. Evident has the better customer service. I think Cerner stands out above both.
The worst part of eClinicalWorks is the customer service. If they want to grow they need to improve on this. Everything from not following through on work requests to not responding to calls.
For the end user it is a good product. Documentation flows well and it can be customized.
