Evergage is being used for web personalization and content A/B testing by the marketing department for online properties.
  • A/B testing - uses visual editor similar to optimizely.
  • Easy to create new segments for personalization and reporting.
  • Syncs with CRM.
  • Visual editor doesn't work if you don't use it in a very special way to open up existing campaigns.
  • There is no room for developers to be able to edit code of existing html - have to go thru their support.
  • Some elements in the product UI are not fully developed.
  • Postive - Ability to target an audience from referral campaigns.
  • Positive- Ability to set up their algorithmic recommendations (PROMOTE) tool.
  • Negative - Too complicated some times to figure out how exactly things are set up. This takes too much time as you may need to involve their support team with every new campaign.
Evergage is 100 times better than Marketo's RTP tool. It gives more flexibility around scheduling and reporting for campaigns. RTP does not have that. RTP also doesn't allow for proper content A/B testing and run conversion reporting per experience.
Evergage is definitely better than Marketo's RTP tool. It has lots of potential and is able to create campaigns in multiple ways. What they lack in the product functionality is made up by their customer care and support teams. Those teams are awesome.
