Overall Satisfaction with ExakTime

We use ExakTime mostly for mobile time capturing. We set up numerous cost codes and added all of our clients to streamline the payroll process. Each foreman is responsible for clocking their team members in and out, including where they are and what part of the project they are working on. This has saved us an infinite amount of hours each week tracking employee time. Also, the cost codes give us more clarity on our budget and forecasting by noting where we are spending our time on the jobsite.
  • Organize employee contact information, clients, and cost codes efficiently
  • Create a multitude of reports to analyze data for budgeting/forecasting
  • The ability to add/subtract employees online
  • It would be a nice feature if employees could add photos of their progress on jobsites
  • The GPS could be a bit more exact for tracking employees
  • The reports page online is not the most user friendly page. It seems dated.
  • Improved payroll accuracy
  • Reduced payroll costs overall by decreasing the amount of time admin has to track individual employee times
  • Greatly improved job costing accuracy.
The geolocation feature has been a huge money-saver for our company. By tracking employees, we have seen a great reduction in wasted time both on the job site and their travel time. For example, there has been way less time spent at the gas station before going to the job site since implementing geolocation. Which means we are much more efficient, and have been able to increase our bottom line just by having more time for new jobs each year.
The mobile app accessibility and simplicity design I give a 10. It has been so easy teaching all of the crew members how to navigate the app on their phones.
The online site is user friendly, except I do think there could be an improvement with the Reports section. It seems messy and outdated.

Pro:On the jobsite, our foremen can easily switch their crew between the different tasks on a certain project, which gives the admins a real time view of employee time for cost analysis.
Con: Employees can turn off their location and tracking can be lost until they either turn the location back on or get back on a wifi signal.

  • The simplicity of adding and subtracting employees to the system at a moment's notice
  • The employee's ability to track job cost codes so seamlessly with one employee or the entire crew
  • the mobile app's simplicity so everyone can use it without any problems or confusion
  • As I have said before, the reports compilation page on the website is bulky/outdated. It feels like going into settings on a windows 2000 computer.
Yes - It's amazingly simple for all of our employees to use the mobile app. Everyone understands how to use it within just a few minutes of using it. We have not had any problems teaching new employees, no matter how much technology experience they may have.
