Overall Satisfaction with Expensify

We use Expensify to submit all expense reports. We travel a lot for our company so this is a very easy to use tool as you only need to send in photos of your receipts or forward receipts via email. There are pre set categories which makes this easy for our finance team to complete budgets.

Pros

  • Easy to use- only need to send in pictures or email forwarding of receipts
  • Pre set categories for trip purpose to facilitate finance budgeting
  • Easy commenting to address issues with report

Cons

  • Cannot see categories of expense on app
  • Easy to read categorization
Very easy to use due to clear user interface. Drop downs are very clear and helpful. Easy to track if there are duplicates. Easy to see when reimbursements are coming in and stage of approval. Easy to select categories and write down description and purpose. Very easy to attach receipts.
Expensify does not allow for transaction selection straight away from credit card history and statement. This other platform do. It makes it easier to report reimbursement and expenses and may not require receipts for them all. This could also be because our company doesn’t have a company card so this may not be a Expensify issue.

Well suited when expense reports are required along with expense type and approvers are needed. No as well suited for when there are company cards and expense can be filed directly by selection or when multiple approvers are not needed or when receipts, description, purposes, and departments are not needed.
