Overall Satisfaction with Facebook Business Manager (formerly Pages Manager)

My company manages over 40 business Facebook pages and we use FBM to manage the platform for these clients. While FBM helps in some areas, it can be clunky to use from a smartphone which hurts our team when we are on the go and seeing clients and need to make a post or use the app to make an update in the content.

  • Easy to navigate on desktop.

Cons

  • Difficult to use on smartphones.
  • Needs a search feature when managing multiple pages.
  • Helped workflow of social media team.
  • Helped integrate instagram and facebook posts.
  • Provided good post campaign analysis.
I use both and frankly Google blows FB out of the water on reporting and diagnostic issues with campaigns. It's also much easier to access customer support should there be any issues with your campaigns or if you need help in setting up a new campaign. FBM is a necessary tool for us, but definitely not my favorite. I would rather go back to managing pages individually.

I would prefer the FBM to have a complete overhaul and look at it from the user's perspective of managing multiple pages for multiple clients. As it stands, the only functionality that really helps us is from a desktop perspective, not a smartphone, and with our team being mobile, this is a big issue. FBM has made it harder for us in many cases to perform routine social tasks, although I do like the integration feature for other social apps.
Facebook is notoriously difficult to access for help and FBM is no exception. Only the chat feature will get someone in touch with you and then there is very limited help. The most they do is send links from their 'help section' without really offering much help at all. Business owners and directors need a person on the phone that can understand the problem and help fix it, not 'helpful links that have already been tried.
If using a desktop, Facebook Business Manage can help integrate and consolidate your workload when managing multiple pages for multiple clients. However, it can also be clunky when trying to use it on the go from a smartphone as the functionality is more limited. For those that sit at desks all day, it's a good program. For those of us that stay mobile, it can be frustrating.
