Overall Satisfaction with Gong

Gong helps me and our team to improve our sales skills by allowing us to review our calls and get feedback from management and teammates. Additionally, Gong is an excellent tool for training new team members as it allows them to re-watch demos or review previous calls. Lastly, with its AI feature, Gong will be able to analyze and summarize your calls into key points, allowing reps to be fully engaged during the call or demo itself.

Cons

  • Ambient AI can analyze a call more quickly.
  • Utilizing Gong has helped increase my assisted Closed Won deals due to effective coaching on calls and the ability to review my calls.
  • Gong has also saved me time in note-taking. I used to type all my notes, but I noticed I may be missing certain things on calls since I am trying to type while engaging on the call.
From my own experience, I feel that Gong does a great job providing insight into my calls, even when I didn't have to do much beyond my own sales role. I benefit from reviewing demos and calls with analyzed feedback and summaries of the recordings in Gong.
Gong does a great job with AI by highlighting the key important parts of the conversation, and also provides critical next steps that were discussed on the call, so that you can know exactly what steps are next for this opportunity to move forward.
Gong has a cool feature that allows us to look up keywords we want to focus on, which enables our team to see what type of conversations are happening around specific words that our team may want to upsell or push more towards in our market.

In an SDR/AE role, it is well-suited for them because it allows them to be fully engaged in their discovery calls/demos without having to worry about capturing all the notes or missing any details. It is extremely useful for SaaS or tech sales roles. Gong may be less appropriate for sales roles that aren't done digitally.
