Overall Satisfaction with Google Drive

Google Drive is being used as a file sharing and collaboration tool both interdepartmentally and organization wide. The main business problems the Google Drive tools address are the ability to quickly/easily share deliverables with clients and collaborate in real-time on documents/spreadsheets.

Pros

  • Real-time collaboration
  • Archiving changes (versioning) and allowing users to revert to a previous version
  • Ease of access and use

Cons

  • More user configuration tools. For example, I always want text wrap on my cells in Google Sheets. Would be nice to create a user setting for any new sheets I create to have this implemented.
  • Time saving in the form of project and team management
Google Drive is much more intuitive to use.
Google Drive is well suited for companies looking for realtime collaboration tools. Not sure if it's as appropriate for companies with high security.
