Overall Satisfaction with Google Drive

Google drive is a great tool to share spread sheets. Working in search we use google drive to set up test documents that are then shared with the client. We can update the data daily/weekly and the client can login whenever they want to view results. It also helps save space in email.

Pros

  • Sharing with multiple users. This is key when needing to share large amounts of data that need to be edited by multiple users.
  • Spreadsheets are easy to use and very similar to excel. They are helpful when making calculations or creating lists.

Cons

  • I have not run into many issues with google drive. The help section could be easier to navigate.
  • It has made it easier to keep clients up to date on reporting needs. It has saved valuable time.
Google drive is a cross over between Excel and Slack. It allows multiple users to share and edit the same excel sheets. These are great for providing test results with clients so that they can be updated frequently. It also prevents people from saving over edits or losing saved work!
Google drive is best suited for times when data needs to be viewed and edited by a group of people. It is easy for everyone to log in and make edits. Google drive keeps track of who was in the document last so you can see the latest updates.
