Overall Satisfaction with Google Drive

As a small organization with no subscription for a cloud storage plan, we use Google Drive to store all the company documents. Using Google Drive makes it easier to access company documents when you need them whereever you are across the world.
  • No subscription fee, which makes it easier for startup companies to have access to a cloud storage platform to store their valuable documents
  • Easier to collaborate, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it makes it easier for teams to collaborate and be productive
  • Easier to manage folders and give others access to folders or files
  • Easy to upload files
  • You need a Google account to have access to Google Drive
  • Sometimes it's tricky to figure out what's consuming your storage
  • Gmail uses storage from Google Drive, so it would be better to have a separate email storage instead of Gmail using all the storage
  • Helped us deliver projects on time during lockdowns
  • Good for storing business-critical documents
Because Google is a popular and reputable, and most of the time I am using their products like Chrome, Gmail, Google Sheets, so I prefer Google Drive because all the products I use most of the time are in one place and I didn't want to sign up for other products (which would mean more passwords for me to manage).
Easy to use and set up. Once you have your Gmail account set up, you are set to go.
Never had an issue with Google Drive and never had to contact their support for assistance, which shows that they have a good product that doesn't have issues to deal with.

Do you think Google Drive delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Drive's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Drive live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Google Drive go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Drive again?

Yes

Google Drive is best for personal use, small companies that do not require more storage, and small teams or departments collaborating on projects. It's less appropriate for enterprise companies that need more storage for their projects and have large teams collaborating on projects. The highest plan for Google One is 2TB, which is not enough for enterprise companies. Google Drive lags behind when it comes to security features.
