Overall Satisfaction with Google Voice

We use Google Voice for the majority of communication across the offshore team in India and the USA. The main reason for using the same platform is that it is cost-effective and easily use. As a startup, we tried to find a common platform for everyone to get together and Google Voice does that best.
  • Coordination with different people across the globe.
  • You only pay for the time you use, so better billing.
  • Clear voice quality and integration with the application.
  • Vonage has a few nice features over Google Voice in terms of routing and other advanced features. It's not that easy in Google Voice.
  • Billing rate has flexibility but they are on the higher side compared to the fixed plan from Vonage or Unovon.
  • Making calls over Google Voice in conferences across the globe at lower rates makes things easy.
  • Integration with other Google features is an advantage.
We used Vonage as part of our initial process but conference call and app features were farther behind compared to Google Voice. Both products have some advantages over others but, in the end, for better app and global use, Google Voice makes things easy for our organization. It also helps to onboard new users easily compared to Vonage.
Ease of use, app features, easy onboarding, and a simple payment plan for a startup, makes Google Voice better than competitors. Overall, if we ignore a few features it is missing, it's worth giving a try. Vonage is better for large organizations but, if you are building a startup and need something quick to get started, I prefer Google Voice.

Google Voice is best for users across the globe. If you have teams offshore and onshore and need a single platform to connect with everyone, Google Voice is best. Its integration with Android Call and other features makes it easy to use. The only area I see it lagging is in various plans. The other service provides a fix rate plan compared to Google pay as you go. Sometimes it's easier to have a monthly plan.
