Overall Satisfaction with Google Voice
People have the choice to use Google Voice if they want to. It honestly just offers a significantly easier form of communication compared to an e-mail or calling someone. It's a fast way to reach them and communicate with them. It beats having to actually call them any time because it's already prepared to call them online. Plus Google Voice helps just send SMS messages to contact people quickly as well.
Pros
- Google Voice allows you to effortlessly message someone, similar to iMessage how you can easily message people from your desktop.
- Calling people through Google Voice is much easier than having to do anything on your desk phone.
- Google Voice offers an organized list of contacts that you can call and organize by department.
Cons
- At times, I think the design and layout of Google Voice could be more organized and cleaner.
- I wish there was more options to customize the look of it, both aesthetics and organization.
- Sometimes texts may take slightly longer to send thru voice rather than normal mobile phone.
- Google Voice has completely helped eliminate the inconvenience of having to lose time working in order to communicate someone. Google Voice makes it tremendously easy to do work on the fly while communicating with others.
- No need to spend time looking up a phone number and then stopping work to call. Once you have the number, plug it into Google Voice and you're good, or you can search the person's name.
My company started with Google Voice so I don't really have anything to compare it to. We just decided to implement it as a start and so far it has been tremendously helpful.
