Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting

We usually use GoTo Meeting for our online meetings, especially emergency meetings when we all need to come together to discuss a critical issue or take a decision. The flexibility of GoTo Meeting addresses two main business problems. One is location differences as we live at different locations which makes coming together physically for an emergency meeting almost impossible. Secondly, platform compliance as people may not always have their laptops on them and other online meeting apps do not work as seamlessly on different phones as the GoTo Meeting app.

Pros

  • The video and audio is very good
  • The interface is simple so users are able to easiily navigate their way through it.
  • it is also Cross platform compliant as it can be accessed across various user platforms
  • The service is accessible 24/7
  • Can take a large number of participants

Cons

  • Scheduling meeting is complex. Thus, it is preferrable to use GoTo Meeting for emergency meetings but other meeting apps for planned meetings.
  • The look and feel is quite basic. This is of for informal meetings but not ok for professional meetings.
  • integration with other third-party applications
  • Positive: This is cost saving as we don't have to book hotel conference rooms for emergency meeting and also, we don't have to budget for transport cost for participants.
  • Positive: This is time saving as we do not have to wait for all participants to move from their various locations to come together before we can have an emergency meeting. Everyone can join the meeting at the comfort of their own home.
  • Positive: It is safer as participants no longer have to carry their laptops around with them in order to use other online meeting apps that may not be compatible with their phones. GoTo Meeting is compatible with almost everyone's phone.
  • Negative: The interface is too basic which does not look professional.
GoTo Meeting is more cross-platform compatible as compared to most of the other alternatives, the interface is more User friendly as compared to most of the other alternatives, it is more affordable as compared to most of the other alternatives, the process of accessing it is easier ad compared to other alternative online meeting platforms.

GoTo Meeting is well suited for emergency meeting due to its cross-platform compatibility, User-friendly interface and ease of use. When working with people who are not very Tech savvy GoTo Meeting is preferrable as you are sure that they will be able to navigate the service with little to no difficulty. Also, when people do not have access ti their laptop, it is preferrable to use GoTo Meeting as you are quite sure that no matter the type of smart phone they are using they will not have compatibility issues accessing GoTo Meeting service on their phones.
