At Salesforce.com, Go To Meeting is equally as critical to one's clients success as Outlook: by creating clarity, understanding, and being responsive.

Pros

  • Responsive: lead the viewer by following their triggers.
  • Simplicity - create the environment that allows for attention being paid to client.
  • Easily pass controls to create a wonderful dialog rich with visuals from all attendees.

Cons

  • None
  • Quicker close times by creating a more knowledgeable client.
  • Fewer post sales complaints.
  • Better add on sales.
I like GTM due to the simplicity of the solution, and the ease of which attendees can launch the solution - critical when wanting to make a favorable first impression.
I would use this solution over and over because of the positive feedback from clients in all areas of the buying cycle, not just the presentation: finance, legal, business users.
Do you engage your network, or spout? Are you interactive, or a commercial. Do you fear dialog. In some instances, SCs and reps want their attendees silent all the time. GTM is an interactive, network building, knowledge sharing tool that creates interested parties.
