Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
GoToMeeting is being used by the entire organization for both internal and external WebEx meetings. It is used to share video, audio, and screen share as well as record meetings. It addresses the problem, internally, of being able to connect with the entire team. We have many remote employees at my organization, and a tool like GTM helps everyone stay connected and share information. Externally we are able to "meet" with clients all over North America (virtually) and share our solution.
- GoToMeeting has great screen sharing capabilities.
- GoToMeeting allows for many participants which is a huge bonus.
- I feel like in most GTM sessions the audio cuts out briefly, but semi-regularly. Usually, not much information is missed, but I feel like this is a consistent problem.
- You cannot join a meeting before the organizer, which can cause issues with internal team meetings where some members may want to hop on early, or when someone besides the original host needs to run the meeting.
- Ability to meet quickly with prospects.
- Ease of use.
- Zoom and Microsoft Teams
I think GTM is a great tool, especially for larger organizations with strong equipment, a large prospect/client universe, and the need for international calls. Overall GTM is a strong tool and I feel most organizations would benefit from it.
For organizations looks for more of an internal tool (not customer-facing) - I would say a solution like Microsoft Teams or Zoom would work just fine. They are also strong tools and have some features that exceed GoToMeeting.
