Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
GoToMeeting was our primary and only video conferencing service in the company. We used it to collaborate with outside partners, customers, vendors, as well as within the company as we had a dispersed workforce. We used it for engineering design reviews, important management meetings, investor relations meetings, and regular standup meetings.
- Connections tend to be good and continuous. Unlike some conferencing services that drop or pixelate or disrupt, GoToMeeting was professional looking.
- The interface was easily usable and accessible.
- Billing lagged months behind - After we cancelled they continued to charge.
- There weren't enough seats for the price we paid.
- An unfortunate freezing in the middle of the meeting cost us an investor group.
- The ability to collaborate with outside partners fostered great business relationships.
- Zoom and Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
We ultimately switched to Zoom instead of GoToMeeting because Zoom offered more congruent meetings for the price. The quality between the two is basically on par. Skype was much more difficult to navigate and did not match up in video/bandwidth needs. The initial decision to use GoToMeeting was because of high-quality video and audio.
