Overall Satisfaction with GoToMyPC
GoToMyPC has been an easy solution for two very important tasks in my business:
- Helping remote workers who are technically challenged, in particularly senior employees who have incredible knowledge and skills, but technically challenged on basic computer issues.
- Remote log-in from my home office on rural internet to my office location on fiber. I regularly log in for retrieval of digital assets, or uploading very large files that would take days on my home rural internet.
I have used it across town during blizzards, and from my home in the US to workers in France. I highly recommend GoToMyPC if you need to more than a mere data access, but need to virtually be sitting in front of a remote computer. The ability for the user on the other end to watch your actions is also very helpful.
- Reliable connection
- Ability to reboot remotely
- Easy setup and maintenance - "install and forget" until you need it.
- Price is on the high side
- Remote mouse view is sketch
- It has made remote work possible in certain situations with technically challenged workers would have made it impossible.
Only works well when properly logged into a session.
