Overall Satisfaction with Greenhouse

Greenhouse has allowed for my organization to scale its talent acquisition efforts. It has automated almost every administrative task in regards to recruiting. It is a scheduling tool, a collaborative environment, and a place to house data all-in-one. It is used widely here between HR and our hiring managers/interviewers and allows for us to make data driven decisions that impact our hiring strategies. Not only does it solve the administrative nightmare of recruiting, it also allows for us to scale our recruiting efforts with a small team as it automates much of the frustrating time-consuming tasks. Several other features of Greenhouse allow us to see how we are tracking against our own benchmarks which is much appreciated when reviewing our successes with stakeholders.
  • Organize job requisitions and resumes with pertinent information.
  • Schedules interviews with candidates and integrates with calendar softwares.
  • Sometimes there are bugs with the calendaring system that can be resolved.
  • Specific nuances in workflow.
  • With a team of 1 recruiter, we hired 50 candidates in one year.
  • Greenhouse allowed for a streamlined interview process with data evaluation.
ICIMS is not as user friendly and does not offer as many reporting functions as Greenhouse. I also found that Greenhouse is more unique in that you can collaborate much more effectively than ICIMS. It is easy to tag your partners within Greenhouse in that it reflects in your email as well and tracks the conversation with both interviewers and candidates.

Greenhouse is well suited if you have an organization where recruiting is a top priority and hiring top talent is the standard. Small to mid sized businesses will most likely be the perfect market.
Greenhouse is not well suited if you are an existing organization that has more than 1,000 employees.

Greenhouse Support

Greenhouse has been responsive when there are support issues (which happen infrequently). There are a few issues with their calendar integration with Outlook that they have been working on to date but still have a few glitches.
