Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Gusto for payroll, onboarding, benefits, time off, employment document management, and a people directory and org chart. We love how beautifully and whimsically designed it is and how thoughtful the interactions are. It's simple for employees to use and HR and operations loves how it houses all employment information in one central location.

Ceridian Dayforce and Paylocity

While Dayforce is more robust than Gusto in some ways, Gusto is a nicer overall experience. We all enjoy using the product. It was thoughtfully designed and that shows in the way the information is organized. It gives our employees a central place to find the data they need, quickly and without stress (and without contacting HR questions).

Likelihood to Recommend

Gusto has been great for a scaling mid-stage startup. We've found it intuitive and delightful to use, a great spot to aggregate all our employee data, and it makes a powerful first impression on our new hires. We highly recommend it. Though we're scaling (close to 70 employees), we don't yet have experience with Gusto for larger teams. There aren't any red flags that indicate it won't scale with us, but it's something to investigate if you're a larger company.
