Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

Gusto is used for a number of reasons. It keeps track of all employees and contractors within the company. It is used for logging work hours, payroll, PTO, sick time, benefits, tax forms, etc.

It helps keep all of the paid work and paid workers organized. It also helps keep track of birthdays and work anniversaries.

  • Cost saving due to time saving.
  • Cost saving due to less frequency of missing deadlines and incurring penalties/fees.
Gusto blows PayChex out of the water when it comes to small businesses. For a much larger business model, Paychex Flex might have the advantage though.

I have used/seen Paychex Flex being used for a nationwide company with 100s of employees. For the accounting team in that company, it may have been easier to use.

It works for any small business that is trying to keep track of its payroll. It works for companies that have employees and contractors. It also works for companies that want to avoid time clocks, punch cards, setting their own reminders for tax and payroll deadlines, as well as other important dates throughout each year.
