Overall Satisfaction with Heap

[It is] used by [the] product [and] marketing departments. At a high level, it is used for funnel analysis, conversion/drop-off analysis at every step, impact analysis of new features on a page/or to the funnel, A/B testing analysis (integration with Optimizely), finding optimal [conversion paths], measuring clicks, [and] user segments analysis to see how different users perform for the same funnel or conversion path.
  • Conversion and drop off analysis [is done well].
  • [Being able to have] quality assurance [for] a new feature, [being able to] see what users do next, [and] measuring its impact [have been helpful].
  • Funnel data is presented well.
  • Filters are particularly useful when looking at specific users.
  • Creating events on the fly without development.
  • [I would appreciate it if it could] expand on filters [by] adding IP addresses [and] page URL filter in a funnel.
  • [I would like more] help [in] understanding why [Google Analytics] marketing data is different from Heap.
  • [I would appreciate] better visualization of dashboards [and] more customization.
  • Conversion rate increment
  • AOV increment
  • UX optimization
Heap's better at retroactive tracking, easy events set up, easy creation of reports, and easily bringing data downstream.

Well suited for: > B2C Product / ecomm teams looking at large user data > Dev resources are constrained > Trying to identify new opportunity in customer funnel > Trying to find retention pathways Less suited for: > B2B product teams working with much lesser data > Not useful for Dev team > Analytics teams may prefer working downstream
