HireVue is being used by our sales department for hiring new talent.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Fast. Saves time. You can immediately reject or accept prospects.
Efficient. You do the reviews when you have time.
Personal. You have video in front of you. Tells much more then a CV ever will.

Cons

Compartmentalizing is not efficient.
UI could be more interesting. Changing the login screen is a hassle and can not be done by the user.
Sound and picture testing algorithm should be more efficient.

SmartRecruiters

Back then it was only HireVue. Today we have alternatives. If HireVue is not keeping up with SmartRecruiters for example, they will be left behind.

When you say compartmentalizing, are you referring to usability or where certain things are located? If you could give me some more information on what you would like to see changed, I can send that through as a feature request and have that taken care of. For changing the login screen, your CSM should be able to do this no problem. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us! I apologize about our sound, video and internet speed testing. It is in real-time so as long as the candidate's webcam, mic and internet are working in that current moment, then the interview can commence. Unfortunately we realize that technology isn't the most reliable and internet or video or sound can cut out at any time. We recommend all candidates have a stable web connection by plugging in with an ethernet cable, and make sure no background programs are running.
