Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

HireVue has been exceptional for us. We can speed up the hiring process, and we can get to the candidates that best fit much quicker and cheaper. Our managers find it easy to use and they are also singing the praises of this technology. We made a few adjustments on the scoring function to make it easier and that has also helped.
  • It helps identify the candidates that are worthy of a live interview.
  • It helps project that we are a progressive company.
  • It shows respect for the candidate's time as well.
  • The initial set up of scoring requires a score per each question. Often, it is not worth even viewing more than one question on some candidates.
  • Would like a more intuitive way to tape questions for new templates.
  • Would like suggested questions by function.
  • Speed of filling positions and avoiding wasted management time on candidates who would not fit.
We have used Skype for live interviews before, but this is not the same. We are not using HireVue for live interviews right now, as the digital format is more flexible for us.

Skype can be complicated in that each person has to have an account, and many candidates do not. With HireVue the candidates can easily do the interview off a simple link sent via email.
HireVue works very well for college recruiting and mid level recruiting. It is a bit of a challenge for blue collar positions as many candidates are still intimidated by the technology. We have had some individuals object to the technology, but we've been consistent with the recruiting approach.

It is also very good for those candidates who are currently working as it allows them to interview without missing time.
