Overall Satisfaction with Hive
We transitioned to Hive this year as a project management tool to replace our previous provider. We needed a platform that offered a full-featured project management tool, editable request forms and a robust proofing and approval environment. Hive has all the features and more. We are using it as a department-wide hub for planning and production. It has centralized several aspects of our business that had previously been siloed from one another.
Pros
- Project management - supports several views (Kanban, Gantt, list, etc.).
- Editable request forms.
- Very robust proofing and review environment - handles video as well.
- Great communication features for updates and collaboration.
Cons
- Client management process takes a little getting used to.
- Cannot attach multiple files to a project request.
- Mobile app is just not there (yet).
- It has been a relatively easy process to adapt our workflow to Hive on a tight deadline.
- We are able to consolidate multiple workflows into one unified system.
- The cost is much less than our previous (and less-featured) provider.
So far Hive is the total package for our needs. Offering request forms and proofing/approval out of the box without third party integrations has been a huge upgrade for us along with incredibly reasonable pricing. The support for onboarding has been fantastic and we haven't even explored the app integrations possible yet. Haven't had the need. The other platforms are good at project/task management but just don't have as many features.
