Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite Pro

Pros

  • Very easy to publish content to social media sites. We post mainly to Twitter, but also to LinkedIn, Google+ and, to a lesser extent, Facebook.
  • Scheduling of posts. We schedule posts several days in advance which is very efficient and saves a lot of time.

Cons

  • Real time reporting. We like to track metrics like which content is being re-tweeted / shared, etc. The reporting is a canned report in the form of a PDF which is great for sharing with others. However, I would much prefer to have a real-time view.
  • We save time managing social media since Hootsuite gives us a centralized platform for managing multiple different platforms.
  • We are able to respond more quickly to support issues surfaced on social media channels and also to people who comment positively on our products and services.

Using Hootsuite Pro

I don't see any better solution and it creates more value for us than it's price. We are on the Pro version which is quite inexpensive. When we were looking for a tool, we also looked at Sprout Social just after that product had been launched. At the time, Hootsuite looked like a stronger product.
